Hi there, and welcome to LifeWeave!
My name is Matt, and I'm one of the founders. I first got into journaling back in December 2024, when I was going through a significant period of depression.
I found that journaling helped me organise my thoughts, and as I started therapy in February, and went through my recovery, journaling was a key part of what enabled me to get to where I am today.
My therapy sessions lasted one hour a week, and the positive change that happened in those settings was massive, but what about all of the hundreds of other hours in the week? Therapy can't fill in those gaps. LifeWeave doesn't intend to replace therapy, but it aims to be a catalyst and an enabler for you to continue your progress that you're making therapy sessions through regular journaling and our AI-powered features to help keep that momentum.
Similarly, if you're not going through therapy, but you're just looking for a companion to help you with your journaling and to organise your life, your relationships, your health, and your wellbeing, LifeWeave is for you too.
So how do I get started?
When you land on LifeWeave, you'll start on the journal page. This can probably look a little bit daunting because it's a bit of a blank page. You'll get a typical prompt that might help you to get started, but you can ignore that if you like and just write about whatever you feel about writing about.
Some people frequently ask, what should I journal about? You can write about anything, you can say what's been happening in your day, you can talk about how you're feeling, you can talk about any challenges that you're having, anything that you need help with, or just a little bit of a rant.
Whatever helps you work out your feelings and get those thoughts off the top of your head and onto paper, or in this case onto LifeWeave, is perfect for journaling.
In terms of frequency, I personally find it helpful to journal every single day, and having an indication of my streak helps me to do that, but you might not feel like that. That's absolutely fine. Sometimes your entries might just be a few words. Sometimes there might be a whole book. Either approach is absolutely fine.
Once you've written a journal entry, you can just press this button here, which will add it to your journal. You can also attach images to remind you of what you've been up to that day, but that's completely optional. If you prefer to talk rather than type, you can use this microphone icon which will then capture your voice, and then turn that into words that you can then edit before you submit it to your journal.
Once you've written a journal entry, you can go onto the timeline view, which will show you a list of all of your journal entries. From there, you can click into a journal entry and you'll see this screen here. On this screen, you have your actual journal entry that you wrote yourself here.
You have a picture with which is generated from your day. If you don't like that, there is a regenerate button that you can click right at the top here, and it will generate a new piece of artwork for your day. Keep going until you find one that you're happy with.
The AI will look over your journal entry and it will pull out some statistics. It will pull out some themes from your day. Give you some ideas about the emotions that you felt how deeply you've reflected with your level of sentiment, and then it'll give you a a summary of your day.
One of the most powerful features is the ability to actually talk to your journal. If you scroll down the bottom here, you'll have an initial conversation that comes from LifeWeave. You can then reply and say anything that you like about what it's spoken about or anything else that interests you about your journal entry for that day, and LifeWeave will reply.
You also have the gallery view which is a visual depiction of what you've been up to. So here you'll see all of your generated images for your journal articles, and you'll also see any images that you've uploaded when you write your journals if you've done that.
One of the most interesting things is the AI Insights tab. You can see here that I've been journaling for a little while now. I've been journaling for 13 entries, and my longest streak has been nine days long. So as LifeWeave gets to know you better, as you journal more, this Insights page will become more insightful, and will give you more of a hint as to what you've been up to, and will be able to reflect more deeply, and help you, um, to process your emotions, your feelings, your relationships, your well-being.
So, after you've been journaling for a while, you'll get your first insight, which will summarise and give you some feedback on what you've been up to, and some of the activities that you've been doing as well. It will then give you a landscape showing you all of your various attributes, your happiness, calmness, overall sentiment, etc. for the entire week, which allows you to consolidate everything that you've been up to in the previous week, and see the progress that you're making.
There are some other interesting features, we have the AI Companion. Now, I mentioned before that you could chat to your journal entries. If you go into an individual journal entry, and you chat to it there, that will only give you information about that specific journal entry.
However, if you go into your AI Companion, this is like a chat interface, but it will have access to all of your previous journal entries. So it's much more insightful, and it's the thing that you would use when you're actually trying to look over everything that you've been up to.
Do things like say, what's my trajectory? How am I doing? How have I been doing in the past week, the past month, the past year, et cetera? That will have all of your history and can take all of that into consideration when it replies to you.
We've got many, many fun features coming up soon, things to make LifeWeave more insightful, more tailored to you, more personalised.
We're working on this really quickly and we're keen to see how you use it and how it helps you.
If you have any questions, feel free to reach out to the team through the intercom bot which we'll find in the bottom right corner each of each screen.
You can click on that. Send us a message, our AI bot will initially help you. If you want to speak to a member of the team, just let the bot know and it will send your request over to us. We're really looking forward to hearing from you.
